In our last blog we talked about the first pillar of Holistic Self-Care, which is the pillar of Self-Awareness. Today, we will talk about what opens up for us as we become aware of ourselves, our life and our greatest self-actualization potentials. In today’s blog we will be talking about the second pillar of Holistic Self-Care, which is the pillar of a Healthy Mindset.
The Healthy Mindset pillar represents having a mindset that is supportive of our health and wellbeing. Once we take time to self reflect and become aware of what we need to be happy and well, we can begin to assess our thought and behaviour patterns to make sure that these are aligned with the vision that we hold for our lives.
This pillar invites us to deepen our vision of our most deeply desired life experience, take stock of our habits to make sure that we are fully aligned with our desired life and future, and discover which areas we might need to improve. We are also invited to get clear on which skills we might need to cultivate in order to live the life that we envision.
Having a balanced mindset means that we use our mind as a tool to support our wellbeing as opposed to sabotaging it. When our mindset is well balanced, our thoughts are in alignment with who we truly are at our core and we use our mind consciously to generate the kind of a life experience that we most deeply desire to have.
I believe that our mind is the gateway to an incredible life. It can be our ally or it can be our saboteur. The choice is ours and we have a great deal of power over generating a mindset that is truly supportive of the kind of a life that we most deeply desire to have.
When we balance our mindset, we no longer invest our time, energy and resources into things that do not bring us satisfaction and a significant return on our investment. We learn to set and maintain healthy boundaries with the people in our lives, choose the right situations and relationships for ourselves and use our mind as a source of self empowerment and care as opposed to a source of shame, guilt, false fear and self sabotage.
As a result people often feel much more at ease, vibrant, and alive as well as, in tune with nature, it’s rhythms and the overall flow of Life.
I believe this to be one of the most wonderful experiences available to us as human beings.
Now, to help you integrate what you just read, ask yourself the following questions:
What do you most deeply desire to create, experience, express and contribute in your life?
Are your behaviours and habits aligned with the future that you most deeply desire to have?
If not, what might you be able to do to transform the beliefs that are no longer helpful to you into something that more accurately represents who you know yourself to be and who you aspire to become?
Thank you for reading and being present within our community. In our next blog we will be talking about the third Holistic Self-Care Coaching pillar, which is Self-Nourishment.
Much love and many blessings,
Julia
